Lincgreen Prospects (Leaders In Nigeria Connecting Green) passion stemmed from the sad and horrific experiences and insights we gained during the 2022 flooding that devastated parts of Nigeria, particularly Bayelsa and Delta States. In 2022, Nigeria faced one of its most severe flooding disasters in recent history. The floods affected 33 of the 36 states, displacing over 1.4 million people, claiming more than 600 lives, and destroying over 300,000 hectares of farmland. Bayelsa and Delta States were among the hardest hit. In Bayelsa alone, tens of thousands of homes were submerged, and critical infrastructure was destroyed. The floods caused significant economic losses, exacerbating the plight of already vulnerable communities.
