Standing where our forebears once fought with the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP), we are deeply moved by the stories of those who sacrificed their lives for justice against environmental destruction and corporate greed. Hearing the heart-wrenching accounts from the families of over 1,000 victims, we are reminded of the profound impact of their struggle and the weight of our responsibility. As we reflect on this powerful legacy and listen to the call of ‘Bene Ogoni,’ we are more determined than ever to commit ourselves to a Niger Delta beyond oil and dedicated to climate justice. This fight is far from over, and it is up to us to see it through. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Engr. Olu Andah, the current president of MOSOP, for his unwavering dedication to the movement and his invaluable collaboration with LINCGREEN. His efforts to bridge the gap between the young and the old ensure that the spirit and vision of our ancestors continue to inspire and guide us. Together, we honor their legacy and renew our commitment to justice and sustainability. #NigerDelta #LookBeyondOil #ClimateJusticeNow
